Itinerary
 

Day 1Arrival and Transfer to Kampala:

After your arrival at the airport you will be received by the representative of Asyanut safaris who will brief you about your trip and then transfer you to your accommodation. Dinner and Overnight at Cassia Lodge (HB)

 

Day 2Kampala – Lake Mburo National park

Prepare and enjoy your panoramic ride to Lake Mburo national park with a stopover at the Equator. This park is found en route to the Albertine Rift in western Uganda and offers a great way to view the Impalas, Buffaloes, Topi, and the largest heard of Zebras has to offer, together with a vast variety of wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia Lodge (FB).

 

Day 3Lake Mburo National Park – Game Drive

After morning breakfast, prepare for a game drive, residents in the park include the zebras, impalas, water bucks, warthogs and many others including a variety of bird species such as the shoe bill stork. In the afternoon prepare for a boat ride in and get closer to the hippos, crocodiles and many bird species. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia Lodge (FB).

 

Day 4Lake Mburo – Bwindi national park

After your breakfast, enjoy a ride to Bwindi impenetrable national park for the ultimate Gorilla experience with half of the world’s mountain Gorilla located in western Uganda through the Kigezi highlands in the beauties of the ‘‘Switzerland of Africa’’, arriving at your lodge for a relaxed evening, Dinner and overnight at Ruhija Gorilla Safari lodge, Bwindi – (FB)

 

Day 5Gorilla Tracking Day

After an early morning breakfast proceed for a briefing by park rangers/ guides enter the gorilla securers for your adventure, the beauty of this rains forest is spectacular, the area offers a dramatic steeply forest landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animals trails allowing access to tourist the time taken and the terrain varies with the movements of these great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these great and endangered giants is awesome, exciting experience. Many find it rare and moving opportunity. Dinner and overnight at Ruhija Gorilla Safari lodge, Bwindi – (FB)

 

Day 6Bwindi – Ishasha Sector

On this day, after your breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park, Uganda’s most popular tourism destination. The park is famous for its tree climbing lions and is blessed with an assortment of crater lakes, forested gorges, savannah plains, swamps, rivers and the beautiful Kazinga Channel to an abundance of wildlife and a variety of bird species. With your parked lunch via the Ishasha sector of the tree climbing lions we will take an en-route game drive here in search of the tree climbing lions before proceeding to your accommodation. Dinner and overnight at Ihamba Lake side safari lodge. (FB)

 

Day 7Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early morning warm up tea or coffee, you will head for a game drive along Kasenyi tracks and Queens mile in search of animals like: lions, elephants, cape buffalos, warthogs, spotted hyenas, mangoose, waterbucks, kobs and, if you’re lucky, the leopard, and a great number of bird species, return for a full breakfast, relax into the lunch break and after lunch you will be transferred to enjoy a unique two hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This launch cruise gives you a great opportunity for photography, bird watching and game viewing at close range. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Day 8Queen Elizabeth – Kibale Forest National Park

After morning breakfast, prepare for a transfer to Kibale National park, commonly known as the primates capital of the world following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range most of the journey. This will give you a chance to visit some of the crater lakes in this area. Dinner and overnight at Crater safari lodge (FB).

 

Day 9Kibale Forest National Park; Chimpanzee Tracking – Swamp Walk

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred just a few meters to the chimpanzee tracking information office for a pre-briefing by your ranger guides who will then lead you into the rain forest tracking these primates (Chimpanzees). These primates are very mobile and viewing them is unpredictable but a forest walk is an enriching activity that starts at 8.00 am taking about 4 hours. This forest is home to a large number of chimpanzees and other primates including L’hoestes, Red-colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed, grey cheeked mangabeys, birds, and butterflies. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora. This will see you return to have your lunch, after lunch, transfer for a swamp/community walk to KAFRED, a local community initiative in Bigodi for yet more primate and bird watching experience with an opportunity to meet and interact with the local communities living here. Day 10Kibale National Park – Semuliki National Park

After morning breakfast, drive to Semuliki national park, occupying an isolated slice of Ugandan territory beyond the Rwenzori Mountains, the forested Semuliki National Park represents the eastern most tracts of the Congo’s great Ituri forests. This is an exceptionally exciting destination for bird watchers. Visit the hot spring located within the parks, Dinner and overnight at Ntoroko Game lodge (FB)

 

Day 11Semuliki – Murchison Falls National Park.

Drive to Murchison falls national park, Uganda’s largest national park, with the world’s most powerful waterfall. The park lies at the northern edge of the Albertine rift valley, it hosts about 76 species of mammals and over 450bird species. Dinner and overnight at Murchison River lodge – (BB)

 

Day 12Murchison Falls National Park

After an early morning warm up tea/coffee, you will transfer for a game drive to the northern bank in search of animals like: lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hartebeests, oribis, Uganda kobs, buffaloes among other animal and bird species that your guide will help you spot. This will see you return for full breakfast, as you relax into Lunch. In the afternoon, you will go and visit the top of the falls walk. Dinner and overnight at Murchison River lodge – (FB)

 

Day 13Murchison Falls National Park

After morning breakfast prepare for another game drive, After lunch prepare to proceed for a launch cruise/ boat trip to the placid Victoria Nile up stream to the base of the falls, the boat stops just Ten meters from the “Devil cauldron” take pictures of the Majestic Murchison falls, its yet another photographers paradise and pleasure, you will have a perfect view of the Nile as it violently explodes, forming a very powerful waterfall. Take enough pictures to make your trip one of a life time, thereafter return for Dinner and overnight at Paraa safari lodge – (FB)

 

Day 14Murchison Falls – Kidepo Valley National Park

After your breakfast, prepare for a transfer to kidepo valley national park, Uganda’s most isolated national park located in north eastern Uganda in the karamoja region. It is a wilderness park, and isolated, yet spectacular, magnificent and virgin, waiting to be discovered. Traversed by large sand rivers, the park is re known for its distinct of wild game co existing with the dry mountain forests, open savanna and hilltops capped by rock kopjes. Dinner and overnight at Nga’ moru wilderness camp (FB).

 

Day 15Kidepo Valley National Park

After morning breakfast, prepare for a game drive in the park along Narus Valley as the park’s wildlife congregated here much of the year, residents here include the lions, giraffes, elephants, buffalos, zebras and many more animal and bird species. You may also participate in optional/ additional activities such as guided nature walks in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Nga’ moru wilderness camp (FB).

 

Day 16Kidepo Valley National Park – Cultural Encounter

Start your day with an exciting community walk around the surrounding karamoja communities. This will expose you to the ways of life and cultures, of the indigenous Karamojong communities. The karamojongs are traditionally cattle raiders and hunters. Dinner and overnight at Nga’ moru wilderness camp (FB)

 

Day 17Kidepo Valley – Mount Elgon National Park

Drive to Mount Elgon national park early in the morning after having breakfast. The park is located in eastern Uganda around mountain Elgon that boarders Uganda and Kenya. Mount Elgon is one of the oldest volcanic mountains in Africa with the world’s largest caldera. It offers beautiful vistas, numerous caves, cascading waterfalls that enchant you as you enjoy a climb up to Wagagai peak and the caldera. The park is a home to over 300 species of birds including the endangered Lammergeyer, small antelopes, forest monkeys and many more. Dinner and overnight at Sipi River lodge (FB)

 

Day 18Mount Elgon National Park – Sipi Falls.

Early in the morning after having breakfast, have nature walks around sipi falls, the walls of death, and the African sunrise across the Karamoja plains on these peaceful walks just around Mount Elgon National park caves around mountain Elgon. You may also participate in other optional activities such as Rock climbing outside the park at sipi falls, birding safaris within the park, mountain biking from sipi trading center to chema hill in Kapchorwa town, as well as community tours of the local Bagishu coffee growers. Dinner and overnight at Sipi River lodge (FB).

 

Day 19Mount Elgon – Jinja Town

Drive to Jinja town, the source of the Nile, world’s longest river that has a source in Lake Victoria, the world’s second largest fresh water body that is shared by the three East African countries that’s Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. In the afternoon you will take a boat cruise to the real source of the Nile. Dinner and overnight at The Nile Village Hotel and Spa. (FB)

 

Day 20Rafting at Jinja – Kampala

After morning breakfast, prepare for a whole day very unique life time encounter; white water rafting at Bujagali waterfalls, this is a breathe taking experience to blow your mind, one to live to remember There are also other optional activities such as Bungee Jumping, visiting source of the Nile, Birding and boat rides, cultural and city tours in Jinja Town and the Busoga kingdom. Transfer later in the evening back to Kampala for dinner and overnight at lake Victoria Serena. (FB)

 

Day 21Depature

Today you will have breakfast at leisure, relax and Lunch and later transfer to transfer to the airport.
